Privacy Policy

Applies to the Android app com.adhann2026.prayertimes. Last updated 31 August 2026.

Adhan Time Pro has no user accounts, no sign-up and no login. We do not operate a server that stores your data. Everything the app remembers about you is stored locally on your device.

Information the app uses

• Location. With your permission, the app reads your device's approximate or precise location to calculate prayer times, the Qibla direction and nearby mosques. Your coordinates are kept on your device and are never uploaded to us. You may instead set a city manually and deny the location permission entirely.
• App settings and activity. Your calculation method, Adhan sound, language, bookmarks, reading progress, tasbeeh counts and fasting tracker entries are saved in the app's private storage on your device.
• Downloaded Quran audio. Recitations you choose to download are stored in the app's private storage so they can be played offline.

Data we collect about you

None. The developer does not collect, receive, store or sell any personal information. The app contains no analytics, tracking or crash-reporting SDK.

Third-party services the app contacts

To provide certain features, the app makes requests to the following services. Each request necessarily includes your device's IP address, and each service handles it under its own privacy policy:

• OpenStreetMap (map tiles) and Overpass API (nearby mosque search) — used only when you open the Nearby Mosques screen. An approximate location is sent so results can be returned.
• quran.com API and everyayah.com — used to fetch Quran text metadata and audio recitations.
• Google Play services — used for app distribution and updates.

Advertising

Adhan Time Pro may display advertisements supplied by Google AdMob. When ads are shown, Google may collect and use data as described in its own policies, including a device advertising identifier, in order to serve and measure ads. You can review Google's practices at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings under Settings → Privacy → Ads. Where required, the app asks for your consent before personalised ads are served.

Permissions and why they are requested

• ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION — prayer time calculation, Qibla, nearby mosques.
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS — to show the Adhan and reminder notifications.
• SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM — so the Adhan fires at the exact prayer time rather than being delayed by battery optimisation.
• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — to restore your prayer alarms after the device restarts.
• WAKE_LOCK, VIBRATE — to sound and vibrate the Adhan notification.
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE / FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK — to continue Quran audio playback while the app is in the background.
• INTERNET — to load Quran audio, map tiles and mosque results.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your choices

You can revoke any permission at any time in Android's app settings. Uninstalling the app removes all data it stored on your device, including downloaded audio, bookmarks and settings. Because we hold no copy of your data, there is nothing further for us to delete on our side.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
